I have never had a situation similar to the one in the article and have never known anyone who really has, but I’d still have to say that I would not check my candidate’s MySpace page or Facebook pages. I guess I would want the candidate’s actual skill to be the deciding factor if he’s hired or not. Also, a lot of people try and project themselves a certain way on Facebook and MySpace and that projection may or may not be who they really are. As long as they do good work and act with professionalism around the work place, then they can be as crazy as they want on the internet.
